Presenting for the first time in Australia, a celebration of the music of French singer/songwriter Charles Aznavour, one of the most outstanding international performers of our time.
He is today regarded as the symbol of a new romantic style; described by LIFE magazine as "a show business phenomenon". In 1998, Aznavour was chosen as "Entertainer of the Century " by users of TIME online from around the globe. He currently leads the poll as the century's outstanding performer, edging out such greats as Elvis Presley and Bob Dylan. His first compositions were performed by other artists such as Maurice Chevalier, Mistinguett, Juliette Greco and above all Edith Piaf; who had a tremendous influence on him.
Later his songs were recorded by Fred Astaire, Bing Crosby, Placido Domingo, Liza Minelli, Sammy Davis Jr and many many more including our very own Helen Reddy.
Mauritian-born entertainer Milko Foucault-Larche takes us on a journey through 50 years of AZNAVOUR's most memorable hits such as She, Old Fashioned Way, La Boheme, Emmenez Moi, Yesterday When I Was Young.
After 15 years of performing mostly in Spanish, Italian and English; Milko returns to French music, the passion of his early years.
